Four operating modes
System Audit
Aegis builds an evidence register, maps obligations, records findings and prepares a prioritised action draft.
Guided Consultation
A guided consultation starts with no more than seven questions. It captures the requested decision, organisation and EU connection, system purpose, model and data flow, roles, human oversight and available evidence. The assessment then follows only the path relevant to the case.
Re-Audit
Previous findings and evidence are reviewed after changes to the system, its purpose, data or legal source status.

The source status and package contents remain traceable.
Version 1.1.0 includes the agent instruction, method knowledge, starter questions, intake, findings and audit templates, a pinned primary-source snapshot of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 and a standalone integrity validator.
The structured legal corpus contains 113 articles, 180 recitals and 13 annexes. Build data, checksums, provenance and licence assignments are documented.

Missing evidence stays visible.
Aegis separates verified facts, user statements, assumptions and missing evidence. An unavailable document is not automatically treated as a legal breach. Probabilities or percentages are used only when case-specific data and a defensible method exist.

Aegis does not provide legal advice, a final legal interpretation, certification or a compliance declaration. It does not guarantee a classification, conformity or acceptance by an authority, and it does not contact authorities on the user's behalf.
Results depend on the quality and completeness of the information provided. Current primary sources must be checked before a material decision. Privacy, technical security and the actual implementation require separate reviews. Material legal conclusions need review by qualified legal counsel.

Aegis is intended for organisations and advisers that need to assess authorised AI systems and document the basis for their decisions. It cannot prepare a sound classification without an authorised mandate, reliable system information and the required evidence.

Does Aegis provide legal advice?
No. Aegis prepares evidence-backed assessment drafts. Material legal conclusions and approvals require qualified review.
Does Aegis declare a system compliant?
No. Aegis organizes facts, obligations, findings and missing evidence. A final compliance declaration is outside its scope.
Can Aegis be used immediately on every AI platform?
Platform compatibility is stated only after a documented test. Delivery format and minimum requirements are clarified before licensing.
Which licence and support terms apply?
Licence scope, delivery format, updates, support and technical requirements are agreed before contract. The website makes no general promises about these terms.
